The game is set in the 1980s in the fictional city of Vice City, which is based on Miami. The player controls a character named Tommy Vercetti, who is a newly released ex-convict. The game follows Tommy as he rises through the ranks of the criminal underworld, and becomes involved in a variety of illegal activities such as drug trafficking and murder. The Definitive Edition includes updated graphics and gameplay mechanics, as well as new content such as additional missions and vehicles. It was released in 2020 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
